Basement Studios LLC is the television division of Astoria Films. Started in 2010, our mission is to develop and produce a broad slate of original TV series, most of which to be shot on location in and around NYC. Slated for production are soft-scripted and straight reality, a mock-cooking series, an animated comedy, various content for children as well as a Vega$ game show. We will shoot 30-minute spec pilots and present each to various outlets both cable and streaming services, for series commitments with premieres to follow within 12 months.
Each production will involve established talent TBA though we are very open to introducing new faces. While our parent company is IATSE and WGA signatory, we are committed to extending opportunities to unknown talent as well as production crew who have chosen this industry as their profession, providing the opportunity to work their way into union membership.
